Title: Pitman Arms 57 vs 58
Post by: 05gt on 2013-06-14 19:27
Checking to see if a pitman arm off of a 57 will fit onto a 58 box. Just got my new 58 box, and to my surprise, no pitman arm. Does anyone know if these are interchangeable, or do I need to find a 58/59 pitman arm?

Thanks fellas!

Yes they are different in the master spline part of the pitman arm and shaft. You will need a 58/59 pitman arm. There are two different pitman arms a p/s and manual arm .

How may keyways are there on the 58 pitman arm? The box I ordered has only 2 keyways, but the guy I ordered the pitman arm off of claims it has has 4 keyways. Better yet, anyone have a picture of their 58 manual steering pitman arm? This has become quite the ordeal!
