68 galaxie M/C

I have a hatchet job of a 57 ranchero. While taking out the wiring that is held together with zip ties and masking tape, No joking. I found they cut off a 1 inch section of a M/C rod and welded it fast to the rod coming through the fire wall. I have no idea what M/C is installed now. But its coming out. Does the 68 come with a rod that will be a direct fit ? If not can some one lead me to a proper fitting rod. I am going to order the wildwood kit. After reading many of the posts here it seems to be a simple swap. The car needs 20 new longer studs for the wheels so now is the time to change the brakes.

I believe the kit comes with a new push rod.

Just use an adjustable push rod to fine tune.
