Title: FE Motor Mounts
Post by: 4banger on 2008-08-09 16:40
What motor mounts will work with the 390/427. Block has 2 mounting holes. 1963 to 1965 in a 1957 custom 300 with a 390 motor ? What year mounts or car they come out of ? Part #'s etc, etc.

4banger,  '58 Fords came optional with FE engine(352c.i.) so you should be able to get them through your local Napa parts store or have them cross check for the right ones for your application. KID

I believe 390 mounts from a 68 Galaxie will work!!

Actually the motors mounts for a FE and a Y block are the same.  Look up the parts # for a '58 Ford with a 352 and a '57 with a 312. It's the same part.

The 58 mounts for 352 are bolt on in 57--my question is which way does the mount go on the engine--I have been told by guys at dennis carpenter that the OPEN AREA in the mount should face toward the rear--does this sound right?
