Front end ride height

I just got through bolting all the sheetmetal back on and the front end sits about 3/4" to 1" inch higher with the 460 C-6 swap. It used to have a nice rake  to it, now it sits dead
level. The 460 has got be 150-200 lbs. heavier than the 272 it came with. The only thing I can think of is maybe the engine sitting back a little further.

the 272 is about 650 lbs the 460 about 700 lbs.the c6 is lighter than the 57 cast iron auto trans.something to think about

Let your suspension settle too, if the car was up for a long time it will take a few laps around the block for all to return to "normal".  I also think the combo is lighter then the 272/fordo....

I forgot to mention I don't have the front bumper or hood on yet, so theres another 100 lbs.? Putting that stuff on tonight so will see where it ends up.

Got the front bumper and hood installed last night and it sits just a about where it was with the y-block, which suprises me. I would have thought the 460
weighs a lot more. Put some insurance on it and then a test ride.  :003:
