Flipping through the November issue of Street Rodder at the store and there it was a 55 chevy conv. made into a roadster with a 427 sohc with a 671 blower sticking through the hood. He also used a customized 57 ford dash, I guess he got tired of seeing chevy motors in Fords at car shows and magazines he calls it Poetic Justice. I bet that really pisses off the tri five guys, cutting up a convertible plus putting a ford in it.
A friend of mine way back raced a '55 Chevy with a 289 Ford in it. Did it just to piss off the Chevy guys. I always thought it would be neat to put a Y Block in a '55-'57 Chevy.
I want to see a Flathead in a 68 Camaro RS ! :003:
that 427cammer in a 55 sounds phenomenal....hahaha
My 36 Chevy has a 351C/FMX/M II/8" for a power train. I have to admit I have had a little too much fun with it over the years (since 1980)! Makes the hard core Chevy guys nuts!

I'd love to see that too :003: If I ever get back to our local show there is a beautiful 57 Chevy with a 427 Ford power I need to get pictures of.
I found a picture of a black 57 chevy on the gasser madness site a while back with a flathead in it..
I had a 39 Chev coupe with a 352 in it. Was really a 58 chassis with the coupe body dropped over it but, regardless, the Chevy guys hated it.
this site is getting better every day.... :003:
Guys
This is great stuff.
Guenter
Do you still have the picture that I took of the 36 (?) Chevy coupe with the Ford engine? I took at Star drive in last year or the year before. Thanks Jay
There is a 68 Camaro w/a flathead. (Bonneville class car I believe)
Wouldn't waste a SOHC on a ch** body.
There is a 65 Mustang w/a Y-Block bracket racer.
It's fun to mess with the knuckle dragging Chev guys!
Ron.
For anyone who hasn't seen this one, it's one of my favorites. Turbo charged Y block in a GMC..
hahaha... I can't believe all of that.... :003:
when Jay sees this Jimmy truck, he will know what to do with his 54 Y block....hahaha.... Just don't tell your wife, Jay :002:
google says its true
