Looking for thoughts...opinions or someone may have actually used this?Wondering if it's a multitude of off shore garbage or it's good stuff.
Thanks!

It would be nice if they said where these parts are made, wouldn`t it? Couple of things that stands out to me, are they claim that the kit includes upper control arm shaft bushings, which 57s do use, but 58s (and 59s) had the large hex nut threaded "bushings", which is a very different design, and uses different UCA shafts. Also the sway bar end links shown fit 1959 and later, but 57 & 58 sway bars do not use end links, they use 4 square bushings clamped directly to the lower control arms. Sure wish that MOOG still offered all this stuff.
Under their "about us", they say all the right words but who knows. I got on here to ask if anyone had used the "PST" kit and saw this thread. Has anyone tried the "PST" kit?
I used to have an old school front end guy that did my alignments and some parts replacement. Years ago, he told me that most suspension part are now made in a number of different countries. They are suppose to be made to USA specs. even though they are made in other countries. I just went to google and asked where Moog parts are made and they show 16 different countries of origin for Moog parts. Some of Moog parts are still made in the good ol' USA, but not many.
I've used PST parts with no issue. I buy unused, brand name, old manufacture parts every chance I get. I have beat-up Moog boxes of ball joints and OEM tie rods on the shelf. I supplement PST parts for other needed parts. I put PST upper and lower control arm bushings in the Custom several years ago. I just put upper control arm bushings in the wagon and ADDCO sway bar and bushing in both of them.
Gary... is that the company.......PST ..... in which the link I provided?
not really sure...

I'm not much of a kit kinda guy. I like to order what I need from who I want. The upper control arm shafts are not a wear item. Unless butchered or missing, why buy. It would be unusual for all the tie rod ends to wear out at the same time. Tie rod sleeves usually don't wear out. The lower control arm shafts can be nasty. Like I said in earlier post, I search for NOS or old aftermarket ball joints. The idler arm is different for OEM manual and PS. If I was going Auto Crossing, I'd go all poly bushings, re-enforce the control arms, aftermarket steering, and a major aftermarket sway bar...otherwise just renew the rubber. I swapped in ADDCO sway bars in both Custom and wagon. Custom corners as good as the 'littles' will allow. It the wagon doesn't handle, I have an Explorer rear bar to test out.
Well.. looking at the standard rubber kit.... all the rubber business need to be replaced.(My car)The Ball joints seem ok but new ones would not hurt. The standard kit seems to be reasonably priced.

Can't answer your question about that company. But as a general rule I have found most off shore rubber parts SUCK :005:. The site claims they only uses top quality suppliers, does that mean soy-free rubber? :003:. I can't even find decent after market motor/trans mounts. After install my engine and trans I drove it around for a few days without the hood on, every little bump in the road had the engine shaking around like it was mounted on JELLO.
Luckily I had all MOOG parts sitting on my shelf from a build that didn't happen back in the 80's. I don't know what I would do today trying to find parts..

I've used these people for a few small rubber parts, they have suspension parts but I've never used them, just another possible supplier.
I've used stuff from them also...bumpers, bushings and rear shackle kit
Excellent Gary.. thank you
Jeff
I think that Jim and I are in the same ballpark. He used the term for off shore garbage as JELLO. Remember when we talked recently and I and I called off shore stuff dangerous BUBBLE GUM? JA
