Any of the 5.0 headers from the Mustang line should work.  The hi-po 65/66 Mustang 289 manifolds that are re-popped should fit as well.  The hi-po's had good flow numbers for street engines.

Ive got a  set of 5.0 liter headers ,but seem very close to suspention. The oem are not much better than old cast iron man.

i'm pretty sure this has been covered. I think the consensus was that BBK headers #1511 were the best fit.

I bought some of the ebay stainless headers for a fox body Mustang on the 5.0 in my Rasnch Wagon.   I did not like how close the passenger front tube got to the RH control arm.

I cut  1/2 inch of the front tube out 3/4 inch from the flange, and pressed on the tube with the press, and moved the tube in a half inch in. I picked up a small roll of stainless steel wire to weld it back together.

It really makes a better looking installation and keeps the heat  a little further away from the bushings.

It seems the driver side is going to clear the Borgenson Intergral box fine.

I used 5.0 Fox Body mounts, but flipped them to the opposite sides. This puts the engine back closer to the firewall.

I used the mustang mounts because it makes the motor sit up higher so it does not look so small.   I also used a phenolic spacer under the upper intake to get the intake up slightly higher and help the look.

Suede 57, sorry to change the subject, but what trans are you using? My T-5 stick mustang stuff interferes with the tunnel.  Mark

I'm using an AOD in the Ranchwagon, but we did a Tremec TKO in another '57 Custom with a 351W.   We did modify the trans tunnel some and it ended up fitting really well.   We used urethane 5.0 Mustang Mounts on it as well but did cut and reweld the original brackets in a better location to make the engine sit back and high.  It looks very well placed now.   We used some ot the TopProline(Austrailian) Aluminum heads(would not buy them again), which caused some major header issues with the revised spark plug angle.    We used early 289 Mustang headers as a base and really reworked them, but it has full headers with nice clearance(except fo the plugs).

Most of the T5 swaps we have done have had some tunnel interferrence but we did a little hammering with a blunt air chissel bit and they worked out well.
