Title: 59 Steering Box
Post by: rovohn on 2019-05-30 13:08
I found a 59 steering box but the plug that fits the bottom of the steering shaft is missing allowing the oil to pour out, does anyone know the size I need?
Thanks,John :canada:

John, too bad you didn`t go to the Monroe WA swap meet a couple of weeks ago. a guy there had a decent 58 Ford hood for$50.00, but it was missing the chrome scoop housing. There was a very nice chrome housing at the Tradex swap meet last week, too.
As for Steering Solutions in Surrey, he has rebuilt a couple of steering boxes for me, one for my 59, the other for my old 74 F350. I have yet to drive the 59, but the fresh box in the truck made for a very nice improvement in how the truck drove.
