Title: Caltracs install write-up
Post by: 65kcode on 2020-06-05 12:44
Hello everyone, hope all us well with everyone.

There used to be an article on here (I think) of the process to put Caltracs on our cars. Maybe by 57Agin?

Searched all over this sight and google,  looking for it and can't find it. Help!

Thanks

This must be the one your looking for. The only change I would make would be to make the triangular plates slightly longer so you can use the second hole for adjustment. I can only use the bottom hole and it looks like from the photos it's the same deal with the ones in the link I posted.

I studied CalTracs and Traction Masters.  I made knock off Traction Masters.  They seem to work well, sturdy and cheap...also added QA1 singles.  No spring wrap, good weight transfer.

I really considered the Caltracs as well but the amount of mods needed were a bit much for me. I bought new Traction Masters made for the car from the original company. I REALLY like the look and they work really well

TM's are better street bars, Caltracts are made for dragracing weight transfer.

Thanks for all the input, think I'll give Traction Masters a try, have them on my 65 Mustang Fastback and really like them.
