Ford Blue blood

Space is the problem with the stock manual linkage.  The mechanism takes up about 3" of room.  Just not enough room for that and the floor board.

The stock 57 box and shaft have the shift mechanism located right next to the box.  The Borgeson box is longer and the coupling/rag joint are now right at the floor boards.

An alternative to using either system is to switch over to 63 - 64 manual box (bolt in with the 63 - 64 pitman arm) but you will still have the linkage problem with that setup as well.
