Title: painting dash

ok,  has any one painted the dash with the windshield in?,    tomorrow i9'm going to give it a try,  the only problem i c is the hump over the speedometor,  its the last thing i have to have a finished car,  if anyones done it give me some words of encouragement,   ,  thanks   jerry

I have done it several times.  I remove the steering wheel and use a small spray gun.

I am quite sure Interiors were factory finished in lacquer.  Susposedly to reduce glare.  Tom.

I used a flattening agent mixed into the enamel on the last one. Will probably do the same on the next. However, I normally have the dash out of the car on a stand. Easier.

The 3 57 Fords I've owned 2 built at Marwar, NJ and 1 at Somerville, Ma the dash's were painted in enamel.
