Guys does anyone know where I can find a radio delete plate for a 1957 custom 300.

I bought one and had it "metallized". The process didn't work so good so I had it real chrome plated. They had issues with it but they did get it done. The plating is heavier than the part and it seems separated from the plastic but it looks good. I think the re-pop plastic may be off-gassing. If you can find an original I would buy one. Some guys have painted these with "chrome" paint.

Lynn, on my 59s radio and clock delete panels, I gave up trying to find a reasonable plastic chrome plating vendor, and ended up buying 3 different brands of chrome spray paint , and experimented. Certainly not exactly the same as the factory plating but looks pretty good. You need to apply several thin coats to avoid filling in the small grooves.

lynn, I haven't been on the site much lately to stay tuned in. If I remember correctly; you gave me some 70D literture a few years back. Namely a 57 factory post card that was sent out to potential buyers. Let me know if this is correct. If it is I have a proposition for you.   Cheers  Gary
