The 68 Fairlane spindles wont lower the front your car as much as Granada spindles. I have 69 Mustang spindles and difference from the stock 57 spindle is about an 1". I think the Granada spindles lower the front about 1.5"-2". One thing I had to do was ream the bottom of the spindle for the larger 57 ball joint, other than they bolt right on.

Up until 1969 the Fairlane, Mustang, Cougar, spindles use exactly the same wheel bearings as the 1957 Ford. 1970 and later Ford changed to a thicker spindle so the I.D. of the bearings are slightly larger but the O.D. remains the same.
