I am hoping someone can provide me with the correct size/type screws to install the panel between the windshield and the hood. Also the screws for the stainless molding at the rear of the roof, above the rear window.
TIA
Merry Christmas to everyone and for those traveling, safe travels!
According to the parts manual the screws for the cowl top ventilator are 32917-S7 #10x3/8" Binding Head sheet metal screws in S7 (cadmium) finish.
The illustration in parts manual shows the screws for rear window moulding as #50005 for most models, but the listing for part 42430 Moulding lists the screw as 52720-S8 #8x3/8" cross recess pan head screw in S8 (zinc finish).
Thanks. I'll try to pick up some screws in stainless today.
Terry, I know you will probably never restore another car, but if you do BAG & TAG everything you take apart.
This will save a lot of time and head scratching. By the way, the pictures you sent me of your car shows you have made a lot of progress and will have it on the road before long.
I wish everyone on this site a very merry christmas with family and friends.
Alvin,
This started out as a rip the headliner out, replace the motor and the front seat and drive it. One thing has led to another which ended up being a frame off. I might add the one and only frame off.
I'm getting help straightening the front and rear window moldings, then the windows will go in. I've already had help aligning the doors and front sheet metal, the wiring and spraying the paint.
I picked up the screws today and plan to install them on Friday.
Again, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone!

Wish I had done that. I take it apart and get back a week or two later and have to recall how it all went together and where is that screw?

Imagine not bagging and tagging and trying to remember after 8 1/2 years. That's where I'm at today.
