any one on here know anything about ford eec-iv engine controls 1990 (maybe used in a project car?} need ecm or source for rebuild. checked local parts stores ,no longer available! Thanks gerald
My encounters with them was in Speed Density systems, both on 302 and 460 equipped cars. Best bet will be junk yards. The distributor has a module attached to it with a muti pin connector, again both 302 and 460 applications. No idea if that ignition control was used on the later Mass Air systems.
Rockauto recently had a remanufactured OBD 1 computer for my '95 Lincoln 4.6 dohc, so maybe........
I had looked there a number of times before I actually found it. I just wasn't looking in the correct section.
If still looking, find a service such as -

Google - ECU reflash service - You will be surprised how economical this service is. If you use a shop that is close to you, go over and talk to them with photos in hand. Then gather up what you need. Mount what you can yourself. Then make an appointment with them, and have your car towed over. Yes, spend a few bucks to do it right, and do not hand them a mess or stand over them.
Also, remember that OX sensors are directional. If they go in wrong, they will work...for a little while.
This will be money well spent.
The 1990 year the op posted would be OBD1. Most "local" shops cannot work/modify/rebuild the obd1 system ECUs. OBD 2 started in 1996, and got more complicated in '97 with the Passive Anti Theft inclusion.
All you ever wanted/needed to know about EEC-IV OBD1 ECM -

OBD1 does not need to be flashed.
