Title: New to me 1957 Ford Custom Fordor
Post by: abe_lugo on 2026-04-03 19:30
Well here it is.
Worked it all out with Bill to remove the cars from is yard and I ended up with the Custom 4dr. the parts car went to a guy building a Route 66 restaurant with car booths and the F100 went to my Buddy Fernando.
The body is clean and straight
Coolant and oil still in it.
looks like a 312 with a 3 speed.  factory duals, it should have a factory 4 barrel, got to work that out no rush, the PO added the 3 speed with a Hurst shifter.
Going to clean it up and run it and see what happens.
small dent in grille and rear right body. bumper needs some love.

The car was hit at the rear so the rear passenger bracket and bumper is really wavy and missing one guard.
Need a little pulling out on the trunk edge.
Also will be looking for one of  those Ford emblem rear trunk key trims.
