Title: Actually an old topic - Insurance
Post by: terry_208 on 2026-06-17 11:13
What is the insurance companies others are currently using for our "old" cars?

I'm trying to find a good one with "agreed upon value".

I know there are multiple threads on this subject.  I'm looking for current info.

TIA

Both Grundy and hagerty.  Have not have to use them.   Pretty cheap.  But have yet to use them-good thing.

Check the amount of miles and rules they give you and make sure you have an agreed upon value and up it every so many years.

I've used both companies mentioned, but Grundy is quite a bit cheaper for identical coverage, so that's what I've been using. I've got coverage for 10k miles per year average, and $55k coverage with extras. 404. per year. The only time I have had to file a claim was about 9 or 10 years ago (Grundy), and they handled it exceptionally well.
Yes, make sure it's agreed value and not stated value.
