Title: How do I install the Chrome Bezel on the Glove Box Door
Post by: KYBlueOval on 2026-06-18 13:05
The glove box door bezel is held in place by a retainer, much like how the door key locks are held in place.
What is the correct orientation for the retaining clip? Does the "lip" on the retainer face up or down? I think it should face up. But I don't know for sure.
I've tried a dozen times plus, to slide the retainer in and lock the bezel in place, to no avail. What is the "trick" to making this simple exercise work?
Thanks
John

I had to walk away from this problem for a little while and it helped. Found the right miniature pliers to hold the retainer and slid it in.
Don't know why I didn't see it earlier! But didn't.

I have learned over the years that when an issue whips my back end just walk away, pop the top off a Bud, ponder my belly button and move away.  After a while, re-think and suddenly the light comes on!
