Title: Carter carburetor
Post by: KennyOne on 2026-08-23 18:10
The previous owners had been putting with an over rich condition for a long time. And hot starts were really hard.
I checked with my O2 sensor and it was running @ 9;1.  Turned out the small aluminum plug was leaking on the bottom of the fuel bowl. Some JB weld and also the gasket under the insulator block had a small gap in the gasket.
Now with a new kit in the carburetor I have 14;1 with 22 inches of vacuum. :deadhorse:
