Title: Removing heater control lever knobs
Post by: 57ranchero57 on 2007-02-17 20:46
Does anybody out there have any experience with removing the heater control knobs on the 57 models Ford? Every other model Ford I have ever worked on has set screws under the knobs to loosen and remove the knobs. This doesn't seem to be the case with the 57. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
Steve

Steve,
I think I just pulled them off and maybe glued them back on. Maybe I bought new ones, seems like somebody
has them for sale. A lot of us have had the dash totally disambeled for paint etc...
Good Luck, Ron :004:

Check Concours Auto catalog page 83.  B7A-18513-A and 19-A, blower and control knobs for a total of $10.  I think they are probably a one way trip.  r

Do you think the guys at Carpenters would know? Any other good restoration shops out there that do mostly Ford stuff from the 50's ????

I bet Carpenter makes 'em.   Any obsolete Ford parts house probably carries them.  r
