Title: noise
Post by: geraldchainsaw on 2010-05-16 12:08
i've been looking for the sorce of noise for the last month,  thought it was the cracked exhaust manaifold, still not sure if it wasn't part of it,  any way today i put it on blocks had the wife get in, put  it in drive with foot on brake and gave it some gas,   got under neath with a rubber hose and checked all over,  o, i should have also added that when i cruise theres no pr;oblem,  but when i hit the gas under a load is when i hear all these noises,  so getting back under neath,  i found where 99% oif the noise comes from,  touching the oil pan by the rear seal it sounds like a spun bearing,   anyone have any other ideas?????????,  thanks   jerry

If it's a knocking sound and it's only under load
it most likely a rod bearing. How is the oil pressure?
