Hi
I am trying to find out the rear diff ratio for a stock ranchero. There is very little info in the UK so hopefully I may be more succesful with you guys in the US
Many thanks
Hi Gramps.
If you go to www.57ford.com, click on specifications, then click on data plate & codes and go to page 3, you will find the answer to your question. Page 1 & 2 will show you how to find out when, where the car was made, what engine, interior color, exterior color and much more.
Good Luck
Rick.

you are thinking of the other models, ranchero and station wagon are different.they list one optional ratio for the 3 speed std w/o od,4.11. 6 and 8 are the same on my list for the ranchero
6 cyl V8
3.56 3.56 Auto
3.89 3.70 standard
4.11 3.89 O/D (3.70 & 4.11 optional with V8)
The fact is that any avalable ratio could be ordered with any engine trans combo for a extra fee of less than $5.00.
the information i gave is canadian.maybe that is why it is differant
I will check the 57 Owners' manual tonight and post what it lists as available.
