Title: Removing and installing a 292

Will the motor come out with the trans attached. (radiator removed)
have a long block 292 to build...cam already installed

It'll go if the rear crossmember is dropped down.,depending how long
the trans is. Don't screw up the rad core support. They're
hard to find in nice shape.

The engine and trans can be pulled together if you have enough room under the car, but for the time it takes to remove the 4 transmission bolts it not worth the problems trying to lift them as a unit.

What he said, it comes out straight up without the transmission.  Drops the chance of "messing" something up big time!

My 272 came out quite easy with the auto trans attached. I didn't have to drop the trans crossmember. I removed the fan to give me an extra 3 inches to get by the
rad support and a little more room for tailshaft as not to scrap up the trans tunnel.
