I was bousing ebay tonight while listening to a ball game, and saw something that reminded me of a question I was going to ask months ago. Do our '57's have trunk tension rods? I have this nagging thing in the back of my head telling me they did, but if I took them off, and I don't remember doing that, I can't find them. Rich
Rich, no they had coil springs in the hinges. John
Hoosier...thanks..that confirms what I had decided when I was trying to figure out why I had a vision in my head about seeing tension rods, but couldn't find them. I had decided at that time I must have been remembering them from another vehicle. Then last night I saw a set of tension rods for "'57-'58 fords" advertised on ebay so it got me wondering again. I guess I never gave tension rods much thought, so I didn't realize they were a replacement for hinge springs. Rich
