Title: Front end ride height
Post by: rmk57 on 2011-06-21 19:51
I just got through bolting all the sheetmetal back on and the front end sits about 3/4" to 1" inch higher with the 460 C-6 swap. It used to have a nice rake  to it, now it sits dead
level. The 460 has got be 150-200 lbs. heavier than the 272 it came with. The only thing I can think of is maybe the engine sitting back a little further.

Let your suspension settle too, if the car was up for a long time it will take a few laps around the block for all to return to "normal".  I also think the combo is lighter then the 272/fordo....

Thanks,Randy.

Got the front bumper and hood installed last night and it sits just a about where it was with the y-block, which suprises me. I would have thought the 460
weighs a lot more. Put some insurance on it and then a test ride.  :003:
