Title: Ramhorn Exhaust manifolds
Post by: BAMA_57 on 2011-08-17 20:31
Has anyone tried these? See link; http://www.ford-y-block.com/Ramhorn.htm (http://www.ford-y-block.com/Ramhorn.htm) They look like they would flow better than the stock ones. I've also seen some y-blocks with headers on YouTube but have not seen any for sale. Custom made would be expensive I would think http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=brQwMEIOGds (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=brQwMEIOGds).

Yes I know, I meant has anyone tried them in their '57 CAR? Just wondering as they are being reproduced as an upgrade? Check the link above.

The website says they will not fit a passenger car....don't know if it's an interference problem or if the heads on the truck motors are different.

Rams horns will not fit a passenger car because the outlets are right above the crossmember that has the engine mounts.  The bolt pattern on all Y block heads are the same, that's not the problem.  They are being reproduced.  John

I'm sure you can buy ready made headers also.
