I now have a 58 trans mount. It looks like ill have to trim about 3/8" off both sides and build a retaining strap. Theres 3/4" difference in the trans mount holes on the C6 and the fordamatic. Is there a certain amount of crush on this mount with the strap? Is there any kind of plate between the tailhousing and mount?
looks like the 58 mount wont work. it looks like im going to have to do some choppin on the crossmember to make the c6 fit.
last year when one of the guys was doing a 4.6/4R70w swap, he had commented on the tranny fitting because the tranny he was replacing was a c6, and the car already had a a c6 crossmember making it easier. I don't remember if he mentioned what vehicle the c6 crossmember came from.
