Title: rocker arms

I was advised that  the rocker arms are adjustable on the 312 y if so, how do you do it? Thanks

See the shop manual, there are two types, nut & scerw 56 and before and jam nut 57 and up.

They set at .019 thous hot, but alot of variables come into play, like how much wear are in the rocker tips. Best thing is to hop over to the Yblocks forever web site (when it comes back up) and use the search function for valve adjusting. Lots of discussion over there, as stated above, if you are going to work on these old motors, a service manual is a must. They pop up quite often on ebay.
