Hey guys...

What power steering fluid should I be using?

Thought I better ask you guys!

Thanks...

I use organic, 'off the shelf', power steering fluid.  I've had no issues.  Mine does double duty running the rack and the brake booster and occasionally hits the rev limiter at 6400 RPMs.  My radiator has the transmission cooler.  Since I run manual transmission, the transmission cooler was unused.  I route the power steering fluid through the radiator transmission cooler.  Do I need to...is it over kill?  Most heavy duty Ford applications run the PS fluid through a cooler.  Most GM applications (Saginaw) do not.  I don't think I needed to run through the cooler but it was there and why not.

I change PS fluid as a maintenance item on all my vehicles.  I also do NOT use PS screens/filters.

Thanks gasman...

I bought the Royal Purple Max EZ stuff.

Gonna give this motor and accessories some good stuff to bathe in.

Trying the Amsoil break-in oil, too.
