Title: New guy
Post by: 292dual4s on 2007-09-18 12:34
I didn't know if intros where manditory or not but figured I better anyway. Hello everybody how's it going. Looks like lots of good info here. I have a 57 Fairlane Club Victoria 2 door hardtop I'm working on. It currently has a stock 292 runner in it, that I picked up for $200. Put a timing chain in it and new gaskets, and so far runs fantastic. It also has a T10 4 speed trans. I'm about to do a frontend rebuild and disc brake upgrade, so I'm sure this place will be very helpful. Hopefully I'll be able to help when I can.

Welcome! Nice looking engine you've got there. Are those homemade headers?

Thank you.
No, those are Reds fenderwell headers. This engine is out of the car right now. I bought the car with this motor in it, but the block is cracked. It was shipping water in the oil and vice versa. Other then that it ran great, believe it or not. I know have a stock 292 in it so I can keep driving the car while I build another short block.
Here's the motor in it now....
