Title: Tach hookup?
Post by: 57 Ford Kustom on 2012-10-16 14:15
Hey Guy's,

My Dad had an old tach in the trunck of the car, it has four wires from it, what do I need to do to hook it up? Never installed one, and Tom wouldn't have seen the fun in leaving instructions(Ha,Ha)
Thanks,
Tim :unitedstates:

one wire ground, one power, one dash lights, one coil, your best bet would be to go on line to the tach manufacture web sight instructions are there.    :003:

I've seen some old Sun tacks that had a sender box, it looked like a voltage regulator. I've never hooked one up.

I hope this isn't one of those! I don't have the box, I guess i'll see when I hook it up! I'm chasing a no spark issue right now. Coil good, points are great, the only thing left is the resister.
Thanks,
