Title: 1966 FE 390 engine mounts
Post by: lenh22 on 2012-10-31 14:34
I have a 390 I am putting into my 57 wagon. I thought I would be able to use mounts for a 58 but the 66 engine has three bolt holes for the mount on the engine and the car has two bolt holes on the frame mount. Has anyone run into this and if so what mount did you use?

Stock 58 332 mounts.  The front two bolts are what you use and only one to the chassis mount.

I got the 58 mounts and they bolted right up to the engine. I will let you know how it  bolts to the 57 frame.

I think so, but I am making changes. I used the rebuild 390 I had to put in my 64 Galaxie XL500. So I am thinking of putting in a Mark VIII 4.6 DOHC in to my 57. We will se how that goes.
