Any of you ranchero guys have a seat like this? Met him at a S&Shine last weekend, looks like he's got it made in the shade!
Nice.....I just love it when guys come up with different stuff. Bring you own shade! Don't guess he's planning on haulin' much anyway. Thanks for posting Lorne.
Nicely executed idea.

I just noticed that the nice looking Ranchero with the neat tail gate seat has a front opening hood. That's the first 57 I've seen to do that modification. I also noticed that his fire wall and heater box looks like it might belong to a 55 or 56 Ford. If so, the job he did is nice and probably involved lots of work and fabricating. Am I nuts and just imagining things??? lol In any event the car looks great. IMO

Nice catch. Core support and inner fenders are also not '57.
It appears that the shot of the Yblock with tri power is from another car and not the Ranchero. Even the fender colors are different.
LOL....Man, am I missing stuff. I'm just too easily lead down the wrong path. Seems I remember my parents talking about that when I was a kid. First, I never noticed the front opening hood on what I thought was the '57, then I never noticed it wasn't the '57. I did however notice that tailgate seat has got to be removed before closing the tailgate.
You guys are sharp, in my haste to resize the pics I had included the engine shot from the car next to the Ranchero. Sorry- my bad, but I do like tri-power engines.
No bad at all, I love the Y, glad you posted it even if in error..
What I'm trying to figure out are those speakers or headrests.

The headrests were made from spotlights. There was a lor of stuff on that car, eg. a big eyeball in the centre of the horn ring, pretty much everything except dingle balls. I said to him that it looks like you've had your car awhile, you've done a lot to it.
do love the MOPAR oil filter on that beautiful y-block.

Is that upholstery I see in the front wheel well :003:
Now I didn't catch that, sure looks like tuck n roll.

Yup, that's what is common show car trick at one time. all about adding judges points to your card.

Really hate picking someone's car apart, he has a big grin on his face and his car is road worthy and mine is just an ever growing parts pile. Plus I do like ''different'' and it fits that. Now is he a member here? If not, why?
Guys:
OOPS, looks like I made a snap judgment about that Ranchero's front end. But thanks for the clarification. I, too like multiple carbs, tri-power, dual quads, log 6's, Webbers, etc. If Paxton made a dual quad enclosure for my supercharger, it would be mounted as soon as possible. Kind of like Bob Benter's great looking Lucas Oil advertisement E-code, F-code Fairlane 500 Club Victoria.

Sorry it wasn't meant to pick the car apart. I'm not a show car person and had never seen that, so it seemed odd to me.

wasn't directed at you, just a general comment. the headrests looked odd to me so had to ask about them myself. no offense taken or meant.

I asked him if he was a member of any forums, he said he doesn't have time right now but maybe when he retires. There is a TON of bling in and on the car, that's why I said to him that he must have had it for a while, it would take a long time to gather all the little decorative items. Just look at the taillight lenses.
More pics, next day- I like the shot of the pinstriping.
Meteor wagon, someone else's pics so don't know if the valve cover is for real.
I like that wagon. Is that a stock grill for a Meteor?
Nice car phone in that chero, probably works better than mine! Lol! Tim
That Chero is a nice mild custom.... very very nice.
The wagon is beautiful too...although many go crazy for a Canuck Meteor front grill...I love a standard grill better.

Someone else's pics, bummer, 'cause I'd like to see better pix and/or know more about that T-Bird emblem on the valve cover.

Hiball, here's a couple of pics from yesterday, a Rideau 500 Meteor at the Vancouver car auction. Owner wasn't around and it will go on the block today (auction on internet also).
Thank you for the pictures, I'm not familiar with the Meteor, I think this is the first one I have seen.
