Title: replacing horn wire thru steering column
Post by: texasmark1 on 2008-01-06 15:45
so, what's the "secret" to getting the horn wire thru the steering column down thru the steering box?  the old one came out easy enough, but the new one stops about 2/3's of the way down into the column...

appreciate it!

If I remember right you put the wire in from the bottom not the top. But then again my memory isn't what it used to be. I think!  :005:

chalk one up for persistence... ran some weed wacker string up from the bottom, tied the horn wire to it, then pulled it back thru; whatever was blocking the hole came out when the knotted string came thru...!

oh, if all the problems were this easily solved!

thanks,Mark
