i don't know about the rest of u guys, but i'm getting a little tired of this weather, and the wife was saying that this might be a thing of the future, and yes, i'm getting a little depressed, bored, to cold to work on the car, and nice weather is supposet to be 90 days away
65 and sunny down here in Mississippi today...I think old man winter has flown the coop.
I agree. Just put one foot in front of the other. January's done and Feb's half over. I think I'll appreciate spring and summer a little bit more this year and won't complain as much about weeding. :001:
Funny you should mention that. I weent out to pick some oranges and got caught up on the weeding which isn't bad this year due to a lack of moisture..
yeah, we are supposed to get another 4-8 inches tonight
Gee Guys, it is just another day in weather paradise here in So Cal, 70 degrees all week until this Sat. when it goes up to 80. I sure don't know what is going on with the weather, aren't we supposed to be under going global warming in more than just Southern California. We are in the middle of our greatest drought in recent history and most of the rest of the country is having record rain or snow. What's up with this? Pretty soon the Gov. & Pres. are going to ration water out here to the point we won't be able to wash our cars, let alone water the lawns.

well if it wasn't for William Mulholland you wouldn't even think of having a lawn or washing your car.

You are so correct. Do you remember the movie China Town, staring Jack Nicolson. It did a pretty good job of describing the bringing of water to LA from Northern California & eventually the Colorado River. LA would be a pretty desolate dry area if it wasn't for some people like that wanting to get filthy rich.

Mullholland was the chief engineer for the dept of water and power that built the St. Francis dam that failed and killed 600 people. A swell guy :003:

Picking oranges??
Jim...... What are you talking about? I always thought, the only way we get those things is at the super market. Do you mean that there is another way to get them?

Jay, don't go to the super market, I'll load up the Ranchero and bring you some. Would you like grapefruit too :003:
gotta drve by me on your way to Jay, and drop some off

No problem. It may be frozen orange juice by the time I get there.
I'll take the oranges and the grapefruit. Stop by Sprink's place and give him some too. We don't have to worry about them going bad because the back of the Rancharrow will be packed with snow by the time you go your first 100 miles.. This will be a good test drive for your new heater.
After you drop off the fruit, we'll install posi traction in your car to help you manage the snow on the way back over the Rockies.
You might have to take me back with you to get me out of this snow.

The heater got a good test this morning when I went out it was only 60 degrees :003:.
Posi sounds good, I should be there soon..
What ...60 degrees??? You don't need a heater in 60 degrees. Last week when it went up from single numbers to 32 degrees, I thought that we were having a heat wave. That's the truth.

No I don't need a heater, I need a heater and a coat :003:
Jim
That package of warm weather that you promised to send a few weeks ago never arrived.
FWIW Officially spring will be here in about 4 weeks. So that's not too bad. I'm really looking forward to mid summer when I'll have something else to complain about like "It's too hot".
You get a lot of use out of your Ranchero.
I look forward to driving the wheels off my 57 this summer. Jay
Temperatures fluctuating between 40 and 45 degrees here at the minute, but we still haven't really had any snow, in fact I can probably count the really hard morning frosts on one hand. Plenty of rain though...........
The last two days it was 39, first time over freezing in over a month. Storm coming tonite, then big rain tomorrow. The frost is deep from the cold winter, we had 22 days of below zero. There is nowhere for a half inch of rain to go. Stay tuned.......
hehe I hear ya Frankenstein, we had 2 days of 40 degrees. Now we are expected to get anywhere from 4-10" tomorrow
Talked to my brother-in-law in the Antigo area yesterday, same for them up there. They have tons of snow on the ground, deep, deep frost, there hasn't been a decent melt since Christmas so if there is a fast melt/rain there is going to be major problems for most of you guys.
Have to say, don't miss it, do miss the folks and Friday night fish frys.
Kinda how I would feel Ford Blue Blood. Heck. They just upgraded our snow. 5-11" am I am closer to the 11 in. Area. Ugh
We've been having so much snow that every day they bring news about roofs caving in. Yesterday a barn roof caved in with a dozen cows inside some cows were killed and later in the day a roof came down on a lady and she died.
Cruisin down the road. The day after 10" snowfall
Sprink
We seriously need a dose of good weather without snow.
I just found out that the people in California, have a very serious drought. I had no idea about that until I saw it yesterday on the news, and Jim (Hiball) confirmed it when I contacted him. Those people are hurting.
Its 60 degrees in the garage so I do get to play with the car.Of course a $300 gas bill last month lets ya know you always pay to play.
Very true on that gas bill!
E Code, how about us and you guys out east, ship our snow to Cali, Help with the drought.
Sprink
That's a good idea. They an use it. How are going to do it? Last time I tried to ship some snow, someone stole it and replaced it with water.
The weather liars said we may get rain next week, I've heard that before :005:
