That's a nice looking car. Someone spent some time making that air cleaner fit the carbs.
WOW! All of a sudden I love green again!...very nice! Now get that straight axle ordered. HRD
Rob,thats KILLER!
That car is so perfect.Very super sano.Love it.Thanks for posting!
Absolutely beautiful. That's the way I like to see them.
Like everything about it, especially the vent shades.
Someone in another post asked about the exhaust sound. Since no one responded, I'll start the guessing. Must be a robust engine. Another guess would be a large diameter exhaust. Clean exhaust pipes...maybe stainless. Whatever it is...sounds nice.
Sounds like the cam and compression may have been altered
Sounds mean... wow!
Yes Frank,I do think so :003:.The chrome on the rockers is something I have never seen before.Must be a Custom 3000 series.
I think the chrome trim is off of a 1957 Meteor..
Nice,I used to have a four door with that color scheme
It certainly has a nice sound to it.

I'd like to know what cam and mufflers he is using. I couldn't believe he has stock exhaust manifolds from the way it sounds, I expected to see headers.
My Y block has an Iskindarian E4 cam and it does not sound that nice.

There isn't much of a selection of cams for the Y these days. But back when I built my first Y you only had a choice of stock, 3/4, or full race. Remember those days :003:
3/4 would be cool

That's what I used and it was a reground cam, and was about $35, lasted for years, and that engine powered three different cars over the years. Life was so much easier back then..
Full race and 3/4 make sense to me because that's the way I remember it in the old days and you could see/hear the difference after it was installed. . It's the modern stuff that I don't understand. I don't see much difference with the E4, but then I haven't really driven the car except for two small test drives up and down the street.
If we keep this up much longer people are going to know what relics we are :old:
Ted Eaton has nothing to offer?
Might be a call worth doing.
OK...I went to the source and asked the guy in the YouTube comment section under the video...
"Badass! All the guys over at the forum on 57fordsforever.com want to know what cam you got in that sleeper beast...do tell! Bitchen car."
Hopefully he answers the mystery cam question soon. Sure doesn't sound like the Y-block in my Dad's 56 T-bird.

As far as I know he just does engine building and testing, racing. I've never seen parts available. There are a few others with Y cams but not like the selection for newer motors.

Good idea Rob, hope we hear a reply. I see were someone said the mufflers are copies of Flowmasters, what ever that means.

Don't know about FlowMaster copies, but every FlowMaster equipped car I listen to has a unique sound.

There must be a lot of variables that effect how they sound and what model is used, I like some I hear and some I don't. First thing that came to my mind when thinking copies were Chinese Flowmasters, what next :003:
I am running Magnaflow XL turbo mufflers...still wondering if they are too loud...but in the power band it sounds bitchen when cruisin at 3000 rpms and gettin into it...

LOL.....I guess I need to hook up a set of quality speakers to my computer rather than just using the built in monitor speaker.....all cars I try to listen to on the videos make me want to rip out my hearing aid.
