Looking for an affordable copy of How to give your MGB V8 power last printed near as can tell late 90s. Have found them online for around $70- and up, hoping to find one for a bit less.

Unless you absolutely need or want a hard copy you can read it on Google books for about $29
the ''old school'' in me makes me prefer the paper edition. and the revised '99 edition would be better than the earlier one.

Well, I thought I'd be able to find one over here but they seem to be like gold dust, I've searched the UK MG specialists and drawn a blank. If I hear of any I'll let you know, the only one's I found were on EBay for over £70 each (that's over $100).
It's a common upgrade over here as the Rover (ex-Buick) V8 is still used in some Land Rover Discoveries, Range Rovers and TVR's, but in a much improved (and more powerful) format than the original engines.

I hear you, I prefer books myself. I stop at a place called AutoBooks occasionally but the prices on some of the older stuff drives me away :005:
Check Hemmings, book and lit section. Many vendors there.
Goodluck,
Ron.
Don't most of us enjoy ''haggling'' for a better price when buying used parts? So why not try the same with online used book sellers? Today contacted 4 of them that have the book listed for under $100 and offered $30 + shipping. Lets see if anyone of them is hungry today.

Zap,
I'd think someone would cut a deal in this economy.
There are a lot of book vendors @ Carlisle and other big fleamarkets.
Of course thats a while to wait for a deal.
Goodluck w/your search.
Ron.
Ron, heard back from one of them cutting a few dollars off not enough to jump on now.Did said to check back in a few months and if they still had it may consider my offer. Just a waiting game for now, after all its a book I want rather than need.

I'm almost sure all of them have to respond as the booksite sent me a note telling me to contact them if no response is given in 2 days. Will assume its 2 working days.
Zap...if the weather and my pocketbook cooperate, in two weeks I'll be going to a big swap meet in either Denver or Wichita, Ks....I'll keep an eye out.
Got some good news today, 2 booksellers were willing to sell me a copy for $59.99 and a 3rd one said $40-. Guess who's getting my money. Wife kept telling me just order it, guess if it was needed might have but its a want and that's a big difference for me.

Had to wait for bookseller to change price on his listing, has now been ordered and will soon be in my hands.
Excellent news!
Received shipping confirmation today, bookseller is just across river in Oregon, lets see how long it takes.

It 's here! Finally in my grubby hands. Just as expected it goes into much more than the engine swap. It deals with every other system on the car. And that's the part that is often ignored online. Happy camper am I.

Great! Cold Feb. brings Hot deals, usually no money is floating around for vendors now.
Now you gotta built a car.
Goodluck!
Ron.
