Title: AC in a 57 Ford article!
Post by: robhaerr on 2015-05-04 22:27
Nice to see a 57 Ranch Wagon gettin' some ink with Vintage AC kit. I wish they showed a photo of the whole car...

Thanks for the reference.

Although they did give some part numbers, it would be nice if they did a full parts list.  Vintage Air has "complete kits" for every kind of GM car/truck, and GM engine package, but not for Ford's.  The full kits are priced better than buying all the individual parts required.

I will be going with a Gen IV based system in my Ranch Wagon, with a 351W.

Street Rodder has the install as well.  New issue.

And a number of guys here, myself included, have done the GenIV install. I skip-read thru the article pretty quickly, and the one thing I will say is if you are running, or planning on running electric cooling fans, you will need a trinary switch, not the binary switch installed on the article.
