Title: Transmission fluid type for AOD?
Post by: Limey57 on 2017-05-11 11:01
I've got an AOD behind my 302, I'm not sure what year the AOD is, but I need some transmission fluid and the parts store has several types.  Anyone know what type I should be using and how much the transmission (currently dry) holds?

Thanks

I have always used "F" type... sorry Gary.... can't remember how many litres my old C-4 took.

Mercon V.
If dry with no fluid in the convertor, somewhere around 12 quarts.  Convertor size, cooler size, and pan size may affect total.  AODs from 1980 to 1992.
