Agreed Marc!..... I believe the 500 series was offered in a trip-tone paint scheme..... I heard a comment that they were "Odd-ball"... that's the biggest BS statement.. they were super plentiful here... but Harsh Canadian Winters and the abundance of road salt made them(and every other brand).... disappear.
The nice thing is you could buy a Canadian model or a US model here..... Totally off topic.a 61 Ford Frontenac .... is a Killer Canadian Falcon ..I have only seen one in the last 10 years....

Jeff, actually the Frontenac was only available as a 1960 model, always liked the "Maple Leaf" hubcaps on Frontenacs. As for that 57 Niagara 300, looks too nice to be a parts car to me. As a kid in BC, I recall seeing lots of 57 Niagaras, and quite a few Rideau 500s, but not very many Niagara 300s or regular Rideaus. A buddy has a Niagara 300 2 door sedan sitting in his backyard, all black with a 6 cyl., 3 speed overdrive. Unfortunately its getting pretty rotten sitting outside. Always liked how the 56 and 57 (short wheelbase) Meteors had "METEOR" stamped into the rear bumpers, I wish my 59 Niagara 300 did too. Also the 59s do not say Niagara 300 anywhere on the car.

My bad on the Frontenac .. the body styles are similar..I remember seeing a ranchero version in Toronto about 15 years ago. all stock and driving in the downtown core in the winter... ......I thought."what a shame".... the car was perfect.
Thanks for the info 59meteor!.. a 2 door black Niagara would be a bitch'in car........

Jeff   You can tell that pal of yours that everything about that car is all wrong.  It looks all cobbled together. Where did all of those strange parts come from?  It even has outside plumbing to the rocker arms. His trailer looks a little awkward too. I can do him a favor and let him just leave that whole pile of stuff, trailer and all right here as long as he delivers it. Jay

I'll take the fenders.  ;D

Sorry Joe
When Jeff delivers it to me, I'll have to take back what I stated earlier and all of a sudden it is likely  to become a nice car.  Then I'll just have to keep the fenders. JA

Spoke with the owner today.. the driveline is a 292-3 speed manual set up.... When we move... he will be close and he invited me over to see the car..... Not many examples of these cars locally anymore.

It's too good to be a "parts car".
