changed from manual to power steeering. when i turn the wheel just past center to the right it moves all the way to the stop by itself. does the same to the left. this is sitting and idling. anyone know what to do to remedy this or how to adjust the p/s. thanks skip
What kind of pump did you install and do you know what it's rated at?
the pump is origial equipment for the 57. came off a 57 wagon. that's all i know.
Have you changed the block or pully size from what was original?
no, haven't changed anything. same setup that came off the parts car. one fellow said to check the pump pressure and it should be 700#. where in the world do you get a pressure gauge that reads that high to check this. thanks. skip
