Title: Sold my Bronco
Post by: rmk57 on 2020-05-24 14:08
Yesterday a fellow came and picked it up. Says he's going to do a frame off restoration, so that sounds positive. I just dont have the room/ time / money to do a full blow resto
and I also didn't want to have it sitting on my trailer outside for another winter. Those with a keen eye will recognize the hubcaps.

Looked really nice as is, Randy, especially with the 57 hubcaps. Pretty hard to find an early Bronco that hasn`t had the rear wheelwells cut out, and flares added.

DAMN! Wish I had not been in the middle of a 2000 mile move across country...or it would be living with me! Especially love the hubcaps!

I used the worst caps I could find for this experiment. Not way was I going to drill a 3 inch hole through a nice set. Had the factory PTO winch n it to. Oh well, I'll move on to something else eventually. Keeping my eyes peleled for half decent 57-60 F-100 s/b.

In my drives around here in Branson area I see a lot of old cars/trucks. I will keep an eye posted for you. Perhaps I'll spot a solid candidate.

Appreciate that. Thing is even if I found one down south I couldn't get here until the border reopens. I'm in no hurry, just have to wait for the right one. Sometimes they find you.

True enough. I have been away since all this silliness started. I assume the ferry from PA over to the island isn't running either then?
I will be making a few trips with car trailers back and forth (probably at least 2 maybe three with the flatbed trailers) so should something pop before my last trip, instead of deadheading back I could bring you a present. Even if the border doesn't open until after I am moved, I have friends who wold keep it for you safely until you could come and get it. One in particular in Marysville...who is a '57 Slut comes to mind! LOL!!!
If you find one...or I do...we'll get it to you one way or another! Challenges are just solutions waiting to be searched out right?  :003:

I'd be perfectly happy with a 302 2 barrel with a c-4. Since 90% of them came with a 6 cyl. and 3 spd. standard I would more than likely swap a small Ford Windsor v-8 in anyway.

Something in between the two in Idaho would work.

Those little Broncos are bringing big bucks at the auctions these days.
