Took a trip up this weekend up through the Thompson Nicola region of British Columbia and then dropped down through the Okanagan Valley. Stumbled across this treasure on a very lonely back road. 300 cars in the bush.
It was hovering around 32F, frost on the ground, but there was no stopping me.
the 58 still had a good hood.
Monster 2-door.
Not many panel deliveries left around.
This was on a 58 Edsel Corsair trunk. Bondy's was a Ford Dealer that opened in 1957.
With the good, comes the bad.
5,700 foot elevation, minus 9 Celsius, not enjoying the slick roads and a 1956 Crown Victoria goes by me heading east.
If you watch Highway through Hell on Discovery, this is part of the Coquihalla Highway. I have hit snow in June.
:canada:
Aside from the cold and slick roads, it sounds like you had a great trip. Thanks for the pics..........gotta love those old junkyards.
I know where there re 2 more of those deliveries outside of Sequim WA...between the 3 of them there is a complete car and parts left over.
great stuff!
were there any old VW buses in the lot ?
No buses, but he had 14 Studebakers.
:canada:
I guess at my age 14 Studebakers would beat a hard on.
^^^^^^^
