Title: Don't do this
Post by: thomasso on 2021-09-27 23:47
I'll try to blame this on bad memory.  I put these tailight housings in my caustic soda hot tank just to loosen the paint as I was out of paint remover and bead blaster was very slow, hard paint.  Forgot about them and left in for over 24 hrs.  You can see the results.  I should have known better but I'll blame old age and bad memory.

It appears like you may be looking for some more, that is unless you already have spares.

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger, a 30 year old friend of mine  had a Triumph Trident 3 cylinder motorcycle and his brother put the head and block in a vat of caustic cleaner to degrease and forgot about it until the next morning, there wasn't much left. Unfortunatly the bike never got put back together, he never found a replacement motor.
Thank goodness you'll have better luck getting replacements.
I have one side if you want it, I'll need to check if it's a left or right.
