Title: tightening up the suspension bolts
Post by: 1930artdeco on 2022-05-05 22:01
Ok, I need to tighten up the bolts on the suspension arms (the rubber bushing bolts). What is the correct torque to use? Top and bottom bolts.

Thank you,

Mike

According to Ford... the 57 Ford Man... 65-75 pounds... with full suspension weight.
Thats what I did mine at... 65 pounds.

What Jeff said.  Very important that the complete car be on the suspension when tightening them down.  If you have the car on a lift with the suspension unloaded the bushings will fail prematurely.
