Not sure if this show is available in the US, but it is another car related TV "reality show" that is filmed in Canada, like Rust Valley, Highway to Hell, Bad Chad Customs, etc. Anyhow, on last nights episode, they dragged a pretty much complete, and fairly solid looking 57 Meteor Sedan Delivery, out of an overgrown field of black berry bushes. The Meteors were the Canadian model of Fords from 1949 thru 61, and then based on Mercurys from 1964 , well into the 70s. (We also had regular Fords and Mercury models up here, as well). The Meteors were always less common than the equivilant Ford models, no idea how many 57 Meteor Sedan Deliveries were sold, but have to be pretty rare.
Found this Mercury Delivery in Courtenay B.C , Came with 2 parts cars and a bunch of parts.

All three look like viable restoration or at least solid hot rod material!
Yes 2 out of the 3 are in really good shape.

Cool find, are all 3 of them Meteors? I used to have 2 57 Sedan Deliveries, but both mine were Canadian Fords, not Meteors. My first 57 Sedan Delivery was the same green as the one in your photo, I sold it around 1975, when I was still living at home in Delta BC. No idea what became of it, although I still have a BC registration paper for it. The second one, I sold in 1986, and that one is in a collection in Richmond BC. Both were originally 272 , 3 speed, with 3.89 gears. Unlike the US Sedan Deliveries, the Canadian versions were not called Couriers, rather they had "Sedan Delivery" scripts on the front fenders. What style rear tailgate support do your 3 have? Both of mine had a roller and track support on the passenger side, but I have also seen some with an overcenter bar system that mounted to the floor on the drivers side. Possibly a running change during production?
2 are fords and the green is a meteor. Funny. You mentioned the hatch support. The 2 Fords are passenger side mounted and the Meteor is drivers with a large spring setup. Maybe Canadian US models. Have enough parts to complete 1 of each. Both fords have the Courier emblems, Meteor has Sedan Delivery emblems. Have to finish my 57 convertible and post car 1st before tackling these guys. Cheers
Both of my 57 Deliveries were Oakville Ontario built vehicles, and had "Sedan Delivery" emblems on the front fenders. If your Fords have Courier emblems, I have to assume they were originally US sold vehicles, with US VIN numbers, which are quite different than the Canadian built units.
