Title: 1957 ford gauges
Post by: b.j.romer on 2024-08-09 15:18
I have the original fuel and temp gauge in my 1957 custom 300 and they both quit reading correctly. the fuel went to all the way empty and the temp shows all the way to hot. there is fuel in the tank and the car does not heat up.
this happened all at once.. does this have something to do with the voltage drop regulator that is attached to the gauges?
Thanks,Bill

Mostly likely the voltage drop.  Check the grounds on the dash panel as well. There are two screw that are usually left out for easy removal on the mid corners.
Check the voltage drop with a multimeter. Also connect  know ground to the whole unit.
