Hello everyone,
I would like to introduce myself briefly. My Ranchero was built in 1958 but I hope you are welcome in the forum anyway.
The engine is a 390cui and the transmission is a C6 with a 9" rear axle.
I am currently installing a Borgeson power steering system.
When I have time I will send a few more pictures.
Welcome almost all of the 57 and 58 pats are interchangeable
so glad to have you. :burnout:
58s are definetly welcomed here! So, welcome from Texas!! Germany?? One of our longtime and favorite members is not too far away from you in Austria.
Welcome. From Los Angeles.

Welcome, good folks here! All willing to share the good, the bad and the ugly of their builds so don't be afraid to ask questions, we've all been there.....
Welcome from Eastern (and formerly Western Canada). Your 58 should be fine here, they even seem to tolerate my ugly cousin 59! Curious if the North American Ford models were available new in Germany, or would they have been imported years later. I know here in Canada, our car models were pretty much the same as the US vehicles, but we were not able to buy a new vehicle in the US and bring it up here, and until maybe 15 or 20 years ago, we could not import or bring up a used US vehicle unless it was at least 15 years old. Wondering if Germany had similar restrictions, and if so, do you have to have a North American vehicle modified to be compliant with German regulations or safety criteria.

Hello, I imported my ranchero from Oregon to Germany in the late 90s, bought for $500 complete, but in bad condition. Transport and tax were around $1500. I had never seen this model here in Germany, only the newer models from the 70s . I completely restored it 10 years ago. The regulations here in Germany are a bit tricky. With classic cars it's a bit more relaxed. As long as the vehicle remains in good original condition, the headlights and a few small things need to be converted.
Welcome from south Louisiana! I first put a 390 in a '57 in 1967 and then again in 2012. My Custom Tudor currently has a 428. I also added Borgeson PS.
Servus aus Österreich und Willkommen am Forum ! :003:
Great guys and information here on this board, you found the right place! I bought my first '57 Ford in 1998, a Courier Sedan Delivery. Great story of your Ranchero and hanging on to it for such a long time and finally restoring it. Certainly a lot of work. Would love to see more pics !
Best regards
