Just a couple pictures of my gen 3 coyote and 10r80 swap
whoa! that looks to be almost as tight as my 4.6, but I see you have room for a vacumn booster. How about some technical details on the swap? oil pan? motor mounts? etc etc
Here's the list of parts the basic parts used:
Moroso # 20573 oil pan
moroso # 24576 pickup assembly
Moroso # 22936 windage tray/ gasket
79-04 mustang coyote swap engine mounts #lrs-6038brp-k
Exhaust headers from Toms Off-road for coyote swap in early bronco
Part #c6515c
Ford Performance Parts gen 3 control pack part # M-6017-M50BA ( I had to send PCM to Ford Racing to reprogram )
If anyone would like more information on some of the smaller items just let me know
I don't suppose there are any in progress pictures? We NEED pictures! Life is incomplete without pictures! :003:
When you say "Coyote" for the mounts and exhaust, is it actually 5.0 Mustang stuff? Ford got silly with their back-and-forth using 4.6 til'2000, then 5.0. then back to 4.6 etc etc.
Also, wasn't aware Ford Racing did reprogramming. Thanks for that. I wonder if they do OBDI.
The only pictures I can locate so far is a before and these two
Rich,
The mounts are aftermarket to install a coyote into a 79-04 Mustang
Here's a picture of them.
My engine is from a 22 mustang gt
I ordered the control pack from summit and it wouldn't work on the 22 transmission and summit told me to send it back but we had already installed everything so I couldn't send it back. Summit claimed it would work, but it only worked on 18-20 models.
Summit wasn't any help with getting it reprogrammed so I called Ford performance and told them what we were doing and that I needed some guidance on where to get the pcm reprogrammed to work with my setup and after talking to 3 different people they told me to send it to them and they reprogrammed it and sent it back
I guess I forgot the picture!
Thanks for the info. Those mounts look very much like the Mustang 4.6 mounts.
so cool, great info and pics!
Thanks much....looking at doing the same with my 56 Crown Vic.
Great information! Thanks Ray.
