Title: Retractables...
Post by: mustang6984 on 2025-05-28 00:40
I have a friend who is a rod & custom shop owner. He has two (2) '57 retractables he is willing to part with. He bought them nearly 2 years ago hoping to restore them and sell them on his "off" time. LOL!!! Yea, in such demand he barely gets a day off once or twice a month.
Both cars are in fair shape, neither has serious body damage, and are in restorable condition. They are in Missouri near Branson.
I can take pics and post them with prices IF someone is interested in one of them. Let me know.

I wish.  Had to give up the retractable dream. The was a really nice corral one complete that sat for years at 5k in dry Nevada.  Finally some got it in the retractable group on FB.  Also a few listed on differ sites in various states of sadness

I can tell you he is NOT looking for a lot of money. He is primarily interested in seeing them go to a good home.I'd like to have one, but I have way too much on my plate now. Shipping from here to there is probably about $1k. I paid about $900 per car from Port Angeles to Shell Knob (2k miles) but I rented the entire truck except for one slot, and told him not to worry about an arrival time.
